Senior Leadership Team

Matt has been working in the NZ Insurance Industry since 1988. The last 15 years have been in sales and relationship management in the intermediated area including a national sales role for the NZ branch of a major global insurer. Matt’s role at UAA is to grow and develop UAA’s agency business in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands with the goal of becoming the industry leader in Mobile Plant & Machinery. He sees a special importance in providing specialised risk management solutions and claims expertise within a crucial area of NZ’s economy and the expanding Pacific Island insurance market.

Martyn manages UAA’s West Australian, South Australian and Northern Territory business. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the WA insurance market predominantly in sales and development roles.

Keith joined UAA in 2007 and after stints in Business Development & Operations Manager roles is now responsible for the NSW & ACT business. Keith has over 40 years’ experience in the insurance industry involving a variety of underwriting, claims & sales management positions & is an Associate of the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Institute.

Sudhish has held senior leadership positions over the last 15+ years, including Big 4 experience and roles as Head of Internal Audit, Principal and Business Evaluation Manager. His background shows a passion for transforming organisations through developing and embedding control frameworks, addressing performance and compliance issues, and making greenfield sites more sustainable. Prior to joining UAA, he spent 10years at QBE, where he built the Technical Audit framework, the transparent audit methodology which drove stronger 1st line ownership of risk. In addition, he also set up the cloud-based Self-Audit framework, through which underwriters across QBE continually reviewed risks and shared knowledge.

Starting her journey with UAA at just 18 as an Underwriting Assistant, Luani has demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work in every role she has held. Her impressive career trajectory has seen her excel in roles including Assistant Underwriter, Trainee Underwriter, Underwriter, Senior Underwriter/Office Manager, Operations Manager, and now as the Regional Manager North. While she remains humble about her accomplishments, Luani's unwavering commitment to her branch and team speaks volumes about her passion for the industry and UAA.

Brooklyn joined UAA in 2010 right after school. She started as an Junior Office Assistant and quickly climbed the ranks transition to an Underwriter, Senior Underwriter, and then to Operations Manager in 2016. Continuing this progression, she is now the Regional Manager South. Brooklyn's hands-on training allowed her to help UAA expand to NZ by creating new systems. She's passionate about her team and works hard to keep everyone connected and strong.
