Regional Academies of Sport Incorporated (RASi) Partnership

UAA is proud to partner with RASi to support the development of high performance pathway across a large range of sport disciplines. These partnerships include the Hunter Academy of Sports, Northern Inland Academy of Sports, North Coast Academy of Sports, Southern Sports Academy, Western Region Academy of Sports, South West Sydney Academy of Sports, and Western Sydney Academy of Sports.

UAA is a major sponsor of hockey, rugby league, basketball, and netball programs within these academies.

“UAA’s partnership with the Regional Academies of Sport has delivered far more than brand exposure, it has created genuine impact in communities across regional NSW. We’ve seen firsthand how the organisation is breaking down barriers to participation, particularly through its commitment to growing Indigenous programs and creating more opportunities for young people to get involved in sport.

What has impressed us most is the authenticity of their approach. They don’t just talk about inclusion, they invest in it, building meaningful relationships with young regional athletes, including Indigenous communities, and are making a lasting difference. It’s incredibly rewarding to be aligned with an organisation that shares our values and is committed to creating positive social outcomes alongside sporting success.

As a sponsor, we’ve been able to connect with communities in ways that wouldn’t have been possible through traditional marketing alone. This partnership has strengthened our presence across regional NSW while supporting initiatives that are delivering real impact. We’re proud to be part of that journey with the Regional Academies and look forward to continuing to grow together.”

Indigenous Talent Identification Program

Indigenous Talent Identification Program

In late 2016, UAA aligned with the NSW Central Coast Academy of Sport to sponsor a junior Indigenous Talent Identification program for athletes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent. This initiative encourages an active lifestyle and provides opportunities for advancement in sports. Over 650 Indigenous athletes participate in talent identification days, and of those attending, 132 athletes receive fully funded scholarships from UAA.

UAA also provides various sponsorships and donations to a range of other sporting and charity organisations.

On UAA’s continued support of and involvement with the Regional Academies of Sport, UAA Group Chief Executive Officer, Stan Alexandropoulos, states: “As the largest specialist insurer of mobile plant and equipment in Australia, with more than 70% of our clients in regional Australia, we have always aimed to partner with quality organisations to support and unearth great Indigenous talent. Burleigh Bears Sponsorship

Another notable sponsorship is with the Burleigh Bears Rugby League Club, competing in Queensland’s top rugby league competition, the QLD Hostplus Cup.

Our partnership with the Burleigh Bears dates back to 2012, and in 2020, UAA became the major sponsor of the club. In 2022, UAA signed a five-year agreement to continue as the major sponsor, which included naming rights to “UAA Park.” The Burleigh Bears boast the largest senior Rugby League Club in QLD, providing pathways directly into the NRL. UAA was thrilled to support the Under 14 Girls Division 1 Newcastle Falcons Basketball Team as they competed in the 2025 National Junior Classic in Melbourne – an elite tournament showcasing the top 128 basketball teams from across Australia and overseas.

These young athletes brought incredible skill, determination, and sportsmanship to the court, representing their team and community with pride.

Dig Deep Event 2022

In 2022, Dig Deep held an event at Gaelic Park, Keysborough, raising funds for Beyond Blue and promoting mental health awareness in the construction industry. The event highlighted a concerning statistic: approximately 190 construction workers take their own lives each year, equating to one person every two days.

UAA, as a platinum sponsor, contributed coffee and popcorn machines, with all donations going to Beyond Blue. The event featured BBQs with blue bread, a massage and relaxation zone, mini golf, and simulators, ensuring a fun and meaningful day for all attendees. For more information, please visit Dig Deep Event.
