Burleigh Bears Indigenous Jersey

UAA are the proud Sponsors for the Burleigh Bears and are honored to introduce the first ever Indigenous Jersey to the team. The jersey will be worn next Sunday at the Indigenous Round event at Pizzey Park by both the Hostplus Cup and A-Grade squads.

The indigenous jersey aims to recognize that greater understanding of Indigenous history and culture is essential in creating a more untied future, and to encourage fans to be part of the change.

This jersey reminds us that we need to continue learning about, celebrating and enhancing indigenous culture in our game.

UAA see Rugby League’s important role as a bridge between cultures and hope this will continue.

At the end of the game they will be auctioning off the players Jersey’s. The Bears are partnered with local Gold Coast charity “Boots for one & all community” who will be recipients of all funds raised from the auction.
